Mr. Lee Anthony Millsaps, 60, of 3rd Street North East, Taylorsville, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Millsaps was born February 24, 1958 in Alexander County, the son of Wilford Bailey and step-mother, Ophelia Bailey and the late Barbara Ann Millsaps. He was employed at CommScope as a long distance truck driver for 22 years.

He was a loving husband and father and of the Christian faith. He loved and enjoyed riding motorcycles with his brother and friends. He loved trucking and traveling.

He was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. Including his mother, he was preceded in death by: his father-in-law, Jerry Howell. Including his father and step-mother, those left to cherish his memory include: his wife who he married on July 23, 1983, Beverly Howell Millsaps; a daughter, Tiffany Millsaps; mother-in-law, Martha Howell; two sisters, Debra Nesbit and husband, Ed, Joy Bailey Dorty; four brothers, Christopher Bailey, Barney Bailey, Kent Bailey and James Millsaps; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The Going-Home service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Sterling Howard will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon AME Zion Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
