Lee Watts 82, of Whiteville, died Thursday, November 8, 2018. He was born August 13, 1936 in Columbus County, the son of the late Horry and Ora Watts. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Trudy Watts Blake and two brothers, James O’Neil Watts and Bobby Dale Watts.

Mr. Watts was a Veteran who served in the United States Navy. He was the Owner of Lee Service Station and Co-Owner of Farmers Oil and Fertilizer. He was an avid fisherman and McDonald’s coffee drinker.

He attended New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carol Layell Watts of the home; two sons, Jimmy Lee Watts and wife, Vicki of Tarheel; Ronnie Dale Watts and wife, Kelly of Zebulon; two brothers, Elwood Watts and wife, Betty of Whiteville and Herschel Watts of Greenville, NC; three sisters, Retha Thompson of Whiteville, Mona Kahl and husband, Jim of Pinehurst, Pearl Freedman and husband, Bill of Clarkton; four grandchildren, Brandy Matheson, Alicia Watts, Steven Watts, Tamara Watts; three great grandchildren, Jackson Matheson, Ethan Matheson, Brissa Matheson. His funeral service will be 3:00 pm Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.

Doug Combs and Rev. Darin Moore. Burial will follow in the Columbus Memorial Park.

His family will receive friends 1:30-3:00 pm on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Peacock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.
