Leland Kay Willden, age 79, of Springville returned to the loving arms of his beloved wife, parents, and granddaughter on February 20, 2019. He was born on April 9, 1939 to Rulon Zufelt Willden and Annina Bankhead Willden in Provo, Utah. He Married Shirley May Pettit August 6, 1960 in Ely, Nevada.

Later their marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple, May 21, 2005. Leland was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served in both the Provo Temple and Provo City Center Temple for over fourteen years where he officiated in numerous sealings as an Ordinance Worker.

He served without complaint and with much joy. He served in the Army and the Air Force as a medic. He told many stories of his time served in Germany.

He enjoyed time spent with family, friends and the companionship of his “second” family at the temple. He was an example of faith and dedication to his family and all who knew him. He will be greatly missed for he was loved so very much.

He is survived by his two sons, John Rex Diamond (Dawna) of Saratoga Springs and Ronald K Willden (Charlotte) of Springville. He is also survived by his 2 Grandchildren; Alannah Marie Whittaker (Jason), Jared Jay Diamond, and 6 Great Grandchildren; Paige, Kennedy, Cooper Andreason and, Makenna and Gavin Whittaker; and will also be greatly missed by his fur baby Rolo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Pettit Willden, granddaughter, Tristy Diamond Stubbs, his parents, Rulon and Annina Willden, and his siblings; Louise Hanson, Dwane Willden, Stan Willden, Christina Larson, Darrell Willden Gerald Willden and Mark Willden.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 23, 2019 at the Hobble Creek First Ward at 555 South 600 East in Springville, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Friday February 22, 2019 at Wheeler Mortuary, 211 East 200 South in Springville, Utah from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Viewing prior to service at 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery Following Services.
