Lemuel Fay Moore, age 76, died of heart failure on Saturday, February 9, 2019, in Southaven, Mississippi. L.F is survived by his wife, Connie Wimberly Moore of Southaven, MS; his daughter Amy Denise Moore of Southaven, MS; his daughter Jennifer Moore Wright (Jason) of Hernando, MS; his daughter Melanie Moore Buckley (Jay) of Brentwood, TN; his five grandchildren: Mitchell Evan Wright, Bethany Constance Wright, Paige Montgomery Buckley, Maggie Caroline Buckley, and Lily Grace Buckley. He is preceded in death by his mother Ida Pearl Moore, father Lemuel Fay Moore Sr., sister Mary Ingram, and sister Jeri Young.

L.F. was born on February 25, 1942 in Pope, MS, to parents Ida Pearl Moore and Lemuel Fay Moore. He graduated from Lambert High School in 1961. He moved to Memphis, TN and worked as a pipefitter at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, where he worked for thirty-eight years and retired in 1998.

He was a great family man and a loving father. He married Constance Harriet Wimberly in 1964 and the couple had three children together: Amy, Jennifer, and Melanie. He was proud of his daughters; however, they took a backseat when his grandchildren arrived.

He carried his iPad with him everywhere and loved to show pictures and videos of his grandchildren to anyone he encountered. Visitation is scheduled from 11:30 to 1:00 on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church in Southaven, MS with a service to follow. Rev.

James Lewis will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate L.F.’s life.
