OBITUARY LaVerne Mae Lamphere March 2, 1927 – February 4, 2019 LaVerne Mae Austin Lamphere passed away peacefully on February 4th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Richard Gordan Lamphere. LaVerne and Richard had four daughters Sharyn Slaughter (John), Kathy Accardi (Larry), Lesa Micci (Gene) and Kim Borup (John).

She was an amazing grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Doris Romine (Paul), Shirley Kattenbracker, and Katie Jones. LaVerne loved horses, playing softball, bowling and cooking for her family.

She was known for her spaghetti at the many family reunions. LaVerne and Richard were longtime members of Frontier Saddle Club and S.A.S.C.A. where they served in many leadership roles. LaVerne’s great passion was for her family.

Many happy Christmas Eve nights were spent with her grandchildren giggling and sleeping on the floor of her room. Funeral services for Mrs. Lamphere will be held Thursday February 7th 2019 at 2 p.m at Bethany Christian Church at 421 Bethany Rd. , Eads TN 38028.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Mrs. Laphere may be offered to Bethany Christian Church or the charity of your choice.
