Velma B. Simpson, 72, died on February 2, 2019. Velma Bowie Simpson was born December 29, 1946 to the late Ida B. Bowie and Robert Bowie Sr She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Henry C. Bunton, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the CYF.

Velma was a graduate of booker t. Washington high school. She attended Tennessee state university. She worked as a pharmacy technician with medical associate’s pharmacy for 18 years.
