Myrtle’s Obituary Myrtle Venson Luss was born April 14, 1933, along with her twin sister Mazie, in Brookhaven, Ms to the late Lillie Barnes and Kennel Venson. She and her twin sister, Mazie were the youngest of five siblings. Myrtle went to Booker T. Washington High School, and later continued her education, becoming a cosmetologist and also teaching cosmetology at Melrose High School, where she taught for many years and retired in 2001.

Myrtle married the late Monroe Luss and five children were born from this union. Myrtle professed her life to Christ at an early age in life. She loved going to church, she attended Brown Missionary Baptist Church, where she worshiped and cherished praising the Lord.

Myrtle loved to read her bible, praying for and with others, and spending time with family. She was a loving and caring person, mother, grandmother, and friend, always thinking of others first. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her five children, Patricia Clark, Faith Luss, Lillian Dandridge, Gregory Luss (Rosie), and Debra Moore (James); 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
