Obituary of Lena Filippini Lena F. Ruggiero Filippini, age 91, of Ansonia, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Filippini. Born in Bridgeport on November 29, 1926, she was a daughter of the late John Ruggiero and Filomena Cioffi Ruggiero.

Before her retirement, Lena worked at the former U.S. Surgical for many years. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed trips to the casino. Survivors include her three beloved daughters, Linda Zerella of Trumbull, Donna Lamonaca and her husband John of Shelton and Karen Filippini and her significant other Maria of Ansonia, five loving grandchildren, Joseph Zerella and his wife Tammy, Kris Zerella and his wife Danielle, Michael Lamonaca, John Lamonaca and his wife Sara, Gina Lamonaca and six cherished great grandchildren, Emily, Carly, Gianna and Sofia Zerella, Charlotte and Audrey Lamonaca as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Ruggiero and a sister, Josephine Viglione. All funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home 419 White Plains Rd.
