Obituary of Robert Toohey Robert F. Toohey, age 84, of Milford passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Born in Bridgeport on September 12, 1934 he was a son of the late Edward L. and Ann Condon Toohey. A U.S. Army veteran, he had served honorably during the Korean War.

Robert was proud to have graduated from the University of Bridgeport in 1968, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He was an avid golfer and established many lasting friendships through his past membership at the Bronson Country Club and currently at Racebrook Country Club for the last 35 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving sister, Ann Gallagher and her husband William of Enfield, his cherished granddaughter, Erin Halloran and her husband Kevin of Willoughby Hills, OH and his adored great grandchildren, Seamus and Madison Halloran. In addition to his longtime companion Dolores Mastri of nearly 30 years, he was also predeceased by his daughters, Elizabeth Wedda and Sharon Holton, his granddaughter, Leighann Holton, his brothers, Edward and Philip Toohey and his sister, Patricia Toohey. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Vitas Healthcare for the wonderful care given to Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd.
