Obituary of Dorothy Parisi Dorothy (Marie) Mainiero Parisi, age 97, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Middlebrook Farms. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold Parisi. Born in Bridgeport on March 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Papano Mainiero.

Marie was employed by the City of Bridgeport Board of Education, where she worked in food service for many years before her retirement. She had a great sense of humor and a knack for telling jokes. She also enjoyed long walks, cooking, baking, reading, traveling and trips to the casino.

Her greatest joy however was found in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she adored so much. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving children, Carol (Lynn) Verrilli and her husband Kenneth and Harold (Ted) Parisi, Jr., both of Trumbull, her cherished grandchildren, Dena Parisi of Bridgeport, Dean Parisi of Trumbull, Melissa Bette and her husband Jeff of Middlebury and T.J. Parisi and his wife Kelly of Oxford, her five adored great grandchildren, Julian, Jai, Jolan and Jana Bette and Ava Parisi and her special cousin, Evelyn D’Aiuto.

In addition to her husband, Marie was also predeceased by her companion of many years, Beau Giammattei. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd. , Trumbull.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to Barnum School, 495 Waterview Ave.
