Leo Hayes Williams, age 72, departed this life June 4, 2018 at Fairway Oaks Center. His death resulted from complications of a broken neck caused by a fall in his home last February. Our daddy was born August 21, 1945 and was a lifelong resident of Tampa.

He was raised in Central Park Village. He loved to dance and was not afraid of hard work. He was employed many years by Gardner-Martin Asphalt, Allied Van Lines, and Pepin Academy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Williams;… Read More » his father, George Williams, Sr.; his mother, Bertha Williams; his brother, George Williams, Jr.; his sister, Emma Jean Saylor; and grandson, Jamaal Reshe Carter. Survivors include sons, Leo C. Williams, Patrick Carter, Barrington Whyte, and Reshea Green, daughters Wendy Killins-Neal Williams, Christina Williams, Tammie Fowler(Maurice), Kimberly Carter; brothers Walter Williams, Harold Williams(Margie), and Bernard Williams(wife); grandchildren, Cristifer Neal, Mychal Neal, Derrell Thompson, Jeremiel Williams, Dorian Judge, Derrick McCray, Shereynae Whyte, Jasmine Carter, Erica Carter, Christopher Carter, Jabre’ Carter, Adrian Belin, Re’Shard Flowers, Marcia Green, Reshea Davis, and Shay’Avaun Green; 18 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. Our family sends special thanks to the entire staff at Fairway Oaks Center for the outstanding care they gave our daddy during his final days.
