Mr. Leon James Rideaux Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Leon James Rideaux, 66, who entered eternal rest, Monday, May 20, 2019 at Senior Village Nursing Home. Interment will be in Garden of Memory. Mr. Rideaux is survived by his mother, Mattie P. Rideaux of Opelousas, LA; four brothers, Herbert Rideaux, Jr., Larry J. Rideaux, Paul J. Rideaux and Arthur K. Rideaux all of Houston, TX; five sisters, Katherine Green, Marilyn Riggs (Lloyd), Janet England (David) all of Houston, TX, Delores Thomas and Genevieve Rideaux both of Opelousas, LA; four aunts, Lucy Daniels of Chicago, IL, Rose Chenier of Opelousas, LA, Lillian Harris of Rosedale, LA and Anna Mitchell of Opelousas, LA; two uncles, Layton Rideaux of Opelousas, LA and Anthony Rideaux of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Rideaux was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Rideaux, Sr.; a brother, Bryan C. Rideaux; maternal grandparents, McKinley Hawkins and Anna Lee Fields; paternal grandparents, John and Hazel Rideaux. Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Share words of comfort with the family at www.
