Leona Catherine Praksti age 91 of Trafford passed away on Monday April 23, 2018 in the Family Hospice and Pallative Care in Pittsburgh. Leona was born on August 17, 1926 in Wilmerding the daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Seelnacht) Deisinger. Leona was a member of the St. Regis Church Trafford, the former President of the Level Green Women’s Club and loved to play bingo every chance she got.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Praksti in 2012. Leona is survived by her children Catherine L. Miller (Jerry) of Herminie, Joanne Burke (Joe) of Pittsburgh and Paula (Praksti) Simcox (Bill) of Trafford; 6 grandchildren Jerry Miller and Rhonda Hall (Larry), Joni Innocenti (Vico), Jennifer Kosanovic (Mike), Jessica Burke (Tommy) and Jacqueline DeMario (Darren); 8 great-grandchildren Kyli Miller, Vico, Noah and Ethan Innocenti, Regan, Rhys and Emory Kosanovic, Giavonna and Ryder DeMario; her sisters Dorothy Edwards and Madeline Helfer both of FL and Thelma Carabajal of CA. Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home Inc. 702 7th St. (St. Rt.

130) Trafford (412) 372-3111. Parting prayers will be at 9:30 AM on Monday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10AM in the St. Regis Church with Fr. David Nazimek as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville. www.
