Mr. Leroy Gibson, 86, of Toney, Alabama, passed away on Friday at his home. Mr. Gibson served honorably in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a builder and worked as a general superintendent for several builders in the Huntsville area and later was self-employed in the building industry.

After retirement, he enjoyed building buggies, covered wagons, and working with horses and mules. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wise Addie “W.A.” Gibson and Zella Abel Franklin Gibson, two sisters, and one brother. Surviving family members include his wife of almost 60 years, Elma Howell Gibson; Three sons: Ronald Leroy Gibson, Roger Dale Gibson, and Dan Gibson; One daughter: Linda Southern.

He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10am until Noon at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 12:30pm at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in New Market, Alabama.
