Dale Martin Travis, 79, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. He was born in Madison County, Alabama on February 14, 1939. He was a retired Sergeant of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department where he served for over 30 years.

Dale enjoyed gardening and going to yard sales, estate sales and auctions with his good friend Mickey Hunter. Survivors include Ronnie Travis (Barbara) of Monroe, NC, Lisa Belk (Mike) of Indian Trail, NC, grandson Christopher Belk of Indian Trail, NC, sisters Doris Towry of Titusville, Florida, Joey Crick of Hazel Green, Alabama and Patsy Hill of New Market, Alabama. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends, Brownie, Tee and Sam.

He was preceded in death by his father Clifford Travis, mother Mildred Travis and sister Betty Travis. A graveside service will be held at Moore Cemetery, Oliver Smith Road, in Flintville, Tennessee on Tuesday, July 24, at 4pm. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
