Pauline Stafford, age 91, of Hazel Green, passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pauline was a Christian woman who attended church at Taft Full Gospel Church. She especially enjoyed attending singings at the church.

You could always find her bible close to where she slept as she would read Gods word every night. Pauline believed in keeping a clean home for her family. From the time she woke up to the time she went to bed she was doing laundry and cleaning house.

She was also known for her cooking. Everyone enjoyed her green beans, cornbread and pineapple coconut cake. She enjoyed traveling, be it locally or out of state.

Pauline only had one requirement before going anywhere – her hair had to be done first. Pauline was a good woman who loved her family and always worried about them. She put her love into everything she did for her family – her most treasured gifts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Stafford; her son: Ray Stafford, her parents: Viola & Dillon Sparks, her sister: Ruby Nell Phillips, her brothers-in-law: Alton Stafford, W.G. Stafford, Melvin Stafford, Willie Stafford and Arfie Stafford; her sisters-in-law: Flossie Lincoln, Wilma Stafford ,Lois(Willie) Stafford, Hester Stafford, Lois(Alton) Stafford Surviving family members include her grandchildren, Kenny Ray Stafford, Russell Dewayne Stafford, Lisa Sparks and Shannon Thompson; Seven grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Eloise Stafford; her brothers: Kenneth Sparks and Leamon Sparks; her sister: Stella Lewis; her brothers-in-law: Clyde Lincoln and Ray Lewis; her sisters-in-law: Jesse Sparks, Dorothy Sparks, Jolene Stafford and Willadean Sparks. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 11 AM until 1 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 PM at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Bro.

Harold Boggs officiating. Burial will follow at New Sharon Cemetery. Hazel Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
