Leslie’s Obituary HENSON, Leslie Dwain – Of Davison, age 76, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Regency of Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Hakbae Moon officiating. Cremation will take place following the service.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Visitation 12-8pm Monday and 11am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Leslie was born in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas on April 9, 1942, the son of the late Oscar and Ruby (Johnson) Henson.

Leslie served in the United States Army, where he was stationed in Korea and eventually he met Yon Hwa. They married on October 30, 1969. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this October.

He retired from General Motors Metal Fab after 35 years of service. Leslie loved traveling and classic cars, especially his 1931 Coupe. He loved sweets, and was very fond of a good milkshake.

Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are wife, Yon Henson; daughter, Michele (Michael) Anderer; grandchildren, Nolan, Nena, Nevan and Nate Anderer; cousin, Waynoma Strong; lifelong friend, Vern Dupraw; and special friends, Chuncha (Doug) Pollard. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Stanley Henson.
