Leslie Earl Dennis, Sr entered into rest at Doctors Hospital on June 30, 2018. He was born in Coatsville, Pennsylvania and came to Fort Gordon as a soldier during the Korean War. He met and married his wife, Ruby Oellerich and made the Augusta area his home for many years.

He began his career as a lineman with Southern Bell and retired from AT&T with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing and hunting.

He had a wonderful sense of humor that always left you with a smile and was beloved by all. He was a shining example of what a Dad should be. He was the father of six children.

He was preceded in death by a son Richard Reed Dennis. Survivors include his wife Ruby and sons, Leslie Earl Dennis, Jr. (Mary) and James Adam Dennis; daughters Becky Dennis Padgett (Herb), Jennifer Dennis Murray and Alice Dennis Calloway (Doug); 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Arrangements will be made at a later date.
