Milford – On September 10, 2018, Leslie G. Siok quietly entered the kingdom of God surrounded by her family in her home. Leslie was born on August 15, 1937 in Clinton, MA. She spent her childhood in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School where she held the position of Drum Major for the marching band.

After high school she graduated from the Wards School of Business in Worcester, MA and became certified in stenography, airline reservationist, general accounting, and insurance claims and policy processing. On October 7, 1958 she married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Joseph Siok. They moved to Milford and together, they raised 5 children.

Leslie was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Leslie was never idle and took pleasure in her work and play. She was employed by Milford Memorial Hospital as a switchboard operator before opening her own business, The Silhouette Spa, a women’s health and fitness facility which she proudly ran for many years.

She later accepted a position at Wharton & Barnard as an Administrative Assistant. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and camping in their motor home with their grandchildren and visiting relatives as she researched her family’s genealogy. Leslie was very creative and enjoyed making crafts of all types including tole painting, sewing, crocheting, and creating gourmet meals for her family’s dinners.

She was famous for her Christmas fruitcake! Leslie is preceded in death by her mother and father Warren and Eleanor Blake, her loving sister Eleanor Lorraine Blake and her son Jeffery Siok. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Siok, Jr., her children Michael Siok and his wife Jeanne, Stephan Siok and his wife Christine, Deborah Smith and her husband Dale, and Daniel Siok and his wife Pamela, thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and her brother, Richard Blake.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 109 Dixon Street Harrington, on Saturday September 22nd at 10AM. The family ask that instead of sending flowers to please make a donation to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 who were without bounds for support and care for Leslie and the family caregivers, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 322 Eighth Ave. , 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
