Feil March 04, 1934 – December 31, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Leslie Feil, 84, of Langdon, ND, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018, at Maple Manor Care Center in Langdon, ND. Leslie Peter Feil was born March 4, 1934, in Dresden Township to Philip and Theresa (Fetsch) Feil. He attended school in Dresden Township until 7th grade then went to Hannah, graduating in 1952.
He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Olga Borgen, on June 6, 1956, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Wales, ND. Together they built their life on the family farm in Dresden Township and were blessed with four children. Les started farming before he even graduated from high school when his uncle, Howard, suddenly passed away, and the land needed tending.
He continued farming his entire life. He farmed with his father and brother, Dareld, until his father retired and Dareld passed away in 1983. He then farmed with his sons.
In 1986, he and Olga moved from the farm to Langdon. He lived for farming and was a ‘true’ farmer. Les enjoyed visiting with friends and family, playing pinochle and shooting pool.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and was a long-time member of the Langdon Eagles Aerie #3454. Les is survived by his wife, Olga, of Langdon; children: Lesley Muscha of Woodbridge, CA, Kent of Langdon, and Ross of Langdon; grandchildren: Elyse (Joey Magnelli) Muscha, Alex (Bri) Feil, Courtney (Josh) Short, Chelsea Feil (Mike Vanatta), Sean (Brittany) Feil, Leeza Feil, Hannah Feil, and Hunter Feil; and great-grandchildren: Paisley, Cash, and Presley Feil. He was preceded by his parents, son Stephen, son-in-law Michael Muscha, daughter-in-law Julie Feil, sister Laura Metzler, and brother Dareld Feil.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Langdon, ND. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Brooks Funeral Home in Langdon, ND, and one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday.
