Lester C. Barrett of Burton, age 76, died Sunday September 16, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 25, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Lester was born in Hyden Kentucky on April 6, 1942 the son of the late Alger & Lola (Sizemore) Barrett and has resided in the area since 1963.

Answering the call of his country Lester proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of the Burton Eagles #3814 and Moose Lodge #2344. Lester was an avid musician playing in the area for numerous years.

He was employed by General Motors Buick Division until his retirement. Surviving is son Steve & Lori Barrett, daughter Lisa Barrett, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Weldon & Elda Barrett, sisters, Geraldine Miller, Loretta & Larry Morgan, long time friend Marsha Sukup, and a host of extended family.

He is preceded in death by sister Mary Davidson. Please share your condolences at www.
