Lien Thi Pham was born January 1, 1930 in Dien Ban, Quang Nam, Vietnam She was the oldest of 5 children. Lien made a home for her family, raising her children and grandchildren. She led an active life and lived on her own until only recently due to her declining health.

She was a person of routine. It was common to see her each morning sweeping her home and sitting down afterwards with her coffee-milk and newspaper in hand. She taught her children love of reading and the importance of timeliness, being just and fair.

She had a great memory and always asked other people about their extended family and friends. She had a sweet tooth that she passed down to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home always had lots of sweets and goodies.

She’ll be remembered by all her family, friends and people whose lives she touched. Those who have preceded her in death are her husband Trach Van Tran; her parents, Khiem Phu Pham and Nho Thi Vo; two brothers, Thanh Phu Pham and Tang Phu Pham. Her surviving family includes her six children listed from eldest: Dien Cong Tran (Thin Tran) of Alexandria, Louisiana; Ha Bich Tran (Vinh Nguyen) of San Diego, California; Dong Cong Tran (Toan Tran) of Gainesville, Georgia; Hanh Hong Tran of Gainesville, Georgia; Duc Cong Tran (Trinh Hoang) of Fullerton, California; Hoa Huynh Tran of Silver Springs, Maryland.

She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren Elizabeth Tran, Daniel Tran, Anh Nguyen (Thong Doan), My Tran, Thao Nguyen (Kieu Nguyen), Hieu Nguyen , Lynh Tran, Khanh Tran and Duy Tran as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Ly Nguyen and Benjamin Nguyen. Her 2 surviving brothers are Vinh Phu Pham of Gainesville, Georgia andToai Phu Pham (Loi Vuong) of Aurora, Colorado as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family Funeral services celebrating the life of LIEN THI PHAM will be held at Little & Davenport Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Sunday, January 6, 2019 (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM services Ket Kinh by Monk Thich Thien Duc). Cremation will follow under the direction of Little & Davenport Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Friday January 4, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM – Recitation of the Buddhist Opening Ceremony (Le Khai Kinh) by Monk Thich Thien Duc will be held that Friday at 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM and resume on Saturday Saturday January 5, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM – Recitation of the Buddhist Requiem (Lễ Cầu Siêu) will be held from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM that Saturday with Monk Thich Thien Duc at the funeral home – Baptist service by Hoi Thanh Bap-Tit Phuc Hung Gainesville will be held from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM that Saturday also at the funeral home Those wishing to send online condolences to the family may do so at littledavenport.com Little & Davenport Funeral Home and Crematory, 355 Dawsonville Highway, SW, Gainesville, Ga. 30501 is in charge of arrangements.
