Lila’s Obituary Lila Louise Trumpold, 77, of Cedar Rapids died peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the Gardens of Cedar Rapids, surrounded by her family, following a 7 year battle with dementia. Services: 11 a.m., at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Bonnie Koeppen. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Thursday after 10 a.m., at the funeral home.

Lila is survived by her two sons, Todd (Paula) Trumpold of Monument, CO and Jeff (Mel) Trumpold of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Lisa (Eric) Kelderman of Altoona; nine grandchildren, Connor, Carson, Logan, James, and Zoe Trumpold, Ethan Hines, and Orrin, Aidan, and Asher Kelderman; stepmother, Dorothy Swartz; and her siblings, Sandra (Roger) Dusil, Larry Swartz, Gary (Connie) Swartz, Debbie Matarrese, Larry (Deb) Covington, and Kim (Reed) Call. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert who died on October 18, 2018; father, Lyle Swartz; mother, Doris Davis; and brother, Ronnie Covington. Lila was born July 24, 1941 in Washington, the daughter of Lyle and Doris Ellis Swartz.

She married Robert Trumpold on June 10, 1967 in Cedar Rapids. She obtained a LPN certificate from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Cedar Rapids, and was a paraprofessional teacher aide for the Cedar Rapids Community School District for many years. Lila enjoyed gardening, cooking and being outdoors, but being mom and Oma was most important to her.

She completely dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed.
