Lillian “Toby” Minnerath, 84, of Alexandria, MN, passed away comfortably and peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home. Toby was born December 26, 1933 in Seldom Seen, Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school, she attended St. John’s School of Nursing in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received a degree in nursing.

She pursued her passion working as a nurse for 33 years. In 1955, she married William James Hardy with whom she had two children. Following Bill’s death, she married Al Minnerath.

Toby and Al were happily married for 28 years. Toby is preceded in death by her first husband, Bill; her parents, Sylvie and Thomas Buxton; her sisters, Mary and Betty; her stepson, James; and her great-grandson, Hayden. Toby will be deeply missed by her husband, Al; her daughters, Mary Pat (Kevin) Culp and Valerie (Dave) Settle; 10 stepchildren; 36 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her siblings.

A private family celebration of Toby’s life will be held at a later date.
