Obituary for Lillie Mae “Mickie” Wilkins Lillie Mae “Mickie” Wilkins, 79, of Dawsonville passed away Friday January 18, 2019 at Foothills Retirement Home in Dahlonega. Born January 17, 1940 in Cumming, Miss Wilkins had been a resident of Dawson County for most of her life. She worked as a bus driver with the Dawson County School System for a number of years.

An active member of Liberty Baptist Church she had a great love for her church family. Miss Wilkins was known for her service to others through her time, talents and gifts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Dovie Pruitt; husbands, Sergeant First Class Billy Charles, Rev.

Earl E. Marshall, J.M. Wilkins; sister, Evelyn Pruitt; brother, Paul Pruitt. Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Billie Jo “BJ” and Jim O’Connor of Columbia, SC, Rebecca “Susie” and John Carr of Cumming; sons, Dan Charles of New Orleans, Eddie Marshall of Cumming; step-children, Trisha and Phil Harris of Cumming, Scott Marshall; brothers, Lamar Pruitt of Cumming, Leon Pruitt of Elberton; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Monday January 21, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Jerry Frazier, Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Rev.

Stephen Davis will officiate. Interment services will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday January 20 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 12 noon until the hour of service.
