Obituary for Lilly Martineau Lilly Nichols Martineau, 87, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away on July 13th, 2018. Lilly was born November 4th, 1930 in Gilbert, AZ. She grew up in Mesa, AZ and was a very active and popular girl.

She was one of the original Mesa High Rabbets. She and her husband, Lorence Whetten Martineau lived in Utah, Mesa, AZ, and later moved to Mexico for 8 years. They had eight children over that time.

The family moved back to Mesa for several years. In 1980 Lilly and Lorence moved back to Mexico for a few years to run a silver mine. Eventually, they returned to Mesa, and later bought a home in Apache Junction, AZ.

She is survived by seven of her eight children; Kim Martineau, Cinda Hatch, Rodney Martineau, Matt Martineau, Randal Martineau, Ladd Martineau, and Nick Martineau. Her son Scot Martineau, passed away in 2015. She was the sixth of eleven children, and is survived by her brother, Earl Nichols.

She had 21 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service was held on July 16, 2018 at Meldrum Mortuary. Interment will be July 30, 2018 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
