SOUTH BEND – Linda D. Russnak, 73, passed away at 6:30pm Friday, September 28, 2018 in her daughter’s residence. Linda was born on October 24, 1944 in South Bend to Alex and Clara “Jean” (Phend) Ross. At the age of 9, her mother left her, and she was raised by Tom and Mary Rzeszewski.

Linda was married three times, first to Wayne Bockhold, second to Dennis Johnson and third to James Russnak. Surviving are 7 daughters Kaylynn (Earl) Barlow, Veronic Vasquez, Jessica (David) Vanwanzeele, Debra Heath, Susie (Billy) Dickerson, Teresa Hawkins and Dawn Johnson, 2 sons Wayne A. Bockhold Jr and John Johnson, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Martha Green and Thelma Ross, and 4 brothers Ernest (Rosie) Ross, Earl (Patty) Walker, Buddy Ross, and Archy Green. Linda was preceded in death by her 3 husbands, daughter Celeste “Sally” Bockhold, sons Bob Johnson and Billy Johnson, sister Jean Ross and brothers Bob Ross, Alex Ross and Steve Ross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, October 5, 2018 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 4-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 7:45pm.
