Ms. Linda Diane Hanks, 68, of Bedford, died Monday, May 7th, 2018 at Pennknoll Village after a courageous fought battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Mrs. Hanks was born in Bedford on July 29, 1949, the daughter of the late Donald E. and Ruby Anna (Defibaugh) Milburn. Linda was preceded in death by the love of her life Richard Henry Shoemaker on November 27, 2017.

She is survived by Daughter- Stacey wife of Steven Corley, Elkridge, MD; Granddaughters- Jordan and Sydney; Sister- Judith Bagley, Bedford; Sister- Janet A. Clark, Everett; Sister- Skip Snavley, Bedford; Sister-in-Law- Cass Milburn, Bedford. In addition to Richard, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Larry “Tub” Milburn. Linda was a homemaker and an amazing cook and baker.

She was a wonderful mother, a devoted grandmother, a loving sister and aunt and a great friend. Linda will be greatly missed. A Graveside Service will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 18th, 2018 with Pastor Melvin Van Orman officiating.
