Linda Estes Owen June 05, 1943 – January 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card Richmond Community – Linda Ruth Estes Owen, 75, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. On June 5, 1943, she was born to Oneal Estes and Evie Lou Waycaster Estes in Lee County. In 1961, Linda graduated from Mooreville High School.

She was married to the love of her life, Winston Jerry Owen. Linda served as Deputy Clerk for the Chancery Court of Lee County at the Lee County Justice Center for most of her working life. She also worked and retired as a teacher’s assistant with the Nettleton School District.

Linda loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved spending time with them. Some of her favorite hobbies included reading, shopping, and interior decorating. Linda also loved eating out and traveling, especially to the mountains.

She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Owen; two daughters, Lynn Harmon and her husband, Gerald of Nettleton and Lindy Green and her husband, Danny Wayne of Nettleton; three grandchildren, Jason Harmon and his wife, Ashley of Mooreville, Blake Green of Nettleton, and Jacob Green of Nettleton; six great-grandchildren, Adam Harmon, Caylie Harmon, Jaycee Graham, Abigail Harmon, Jaxston Green and Lyla Green; brother, Richard Estes and his wife, Janet of the Richmond Community; two nieces; and two special friends, Barbara Crossley of Tupelo and Sandy Weathers of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oneal and Evie Lou Estes.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Wesley Stephens officiating.

Burial will follow in Unity Cemetery in Plantersville. Pallbearers will be Jason Harmon, Jacob Green, Royce Owen, Willie Houser, Dusty Barber and Craig Seay. Honorary pallbearer will be Blake Green.

Memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, P.O. Box 2177, Tupelo, MS 38801. The service will be live streamed and recorded for those who may not be able to attend at www. peguesfuneralhome.com.
