Linda J. Gibson, 63, of Kennebunk Maine, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough Maine. Linda was born on October 4, 1955 to Roger R. and Jean C. (Morse) Camire in Biddeford, Maine. She grew up in Kennebunk and attend local schools graduating from Kennebunk High School class of 1973.

Linda married the love of her life Gerald R. Gibson on June 24, 1984 in the Gazebo at Rotary Park, in Kennebunk Maine. They spent 31 years together building their home and traveling until Gerry’s passing in November of 2015. She was manager of the Village Cove Inn in Kennebunkport, Maine for over 15 years.

In 1994 Linda left to open the West Kennebunk Creamy Coffee Shop with her sister Elaine Riley. She and her sister worked together in the coffee shop until their retirement in 2011. Linda enjoyed spending time planning and taking family vacations; plane, camper, car, bus, or ship, she didn’t care what mode of transportation as long as she was traveling.

She loved the experience of seeing something new and different or being able to go at the last minute. She could have her bag packed in five minutes and be ready to go. Sundays were her favorite day of the week from August through February.

She was an avid Patriots fan and loved football of all forms. Family time and gatherings were another of her many favorites much of this was centered around her decorations and food. She really had a special knack for all types holiday decorations and loved to have family gatherings at her home.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband Gerald R. Gibson and her mother Jean C. Camire. Linda is survived by one son Matthew Gibson and his Fiancee’ Jessica Zousoumas, her darling grandson Jacob Gibson all of West Kennebunk, father Roger R. Camire of West Kennebunk, sisters Elaine Riley and Cindy Jones of West Kennebunk, and one brother Dannie Camire of Wells, sister-in-law Ellen Marrec and husband Frank of Haverhill, MA, step-son Gerry Gibson and step-daughter Christy Gibson, step-grandchildren Chelsey Gibson, Theresa Gibson and Johnathan Russell; along with nine nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 4, 2018 in the front reception area of Saint Martha’s Parish, 30 Portland Road Kennebunk, ME.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Hope Cemetery in Kennebunk, ME in the spring.
