Linda Jo Brown McAvoy, 66, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 29, 2018 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Pastor Michael Decker, officiating. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors.

Linda was born on February 21, 1952 to Billy and Betty Jo Brown in Canyon. She was a graduate of Canyon High School, where she was a member of the State Championship Lady Eagle Basketball Team She spent 16 years working in TV & Radio for KAMR-KGNC. She was also a nail technician for 25 years.

Survivors include her brother, Barry Brown and wife Peggy of Hampton, VA; niece, Lisa Ann Butler of Portland, OR; niece, Jennifer Butler of Amarillo; great nephew, Chase Butler; great niece, Halie Belle Butler; brother-in-law and friend, Harold Butler of Amarillo; and an aunt, Betty Brown Johnson of Canyon. “What a great life with the boot to come”.
