Linda Kathleen Gage ( Bartel) was born on September 25, 1943 in Los Banos CA. Linda passed quietly surrounded by family on Thursday October 4th, 2018 at her home in Firebaugh, CA. Linda met the love of her life her Larry Gage as a freshmen at Reedley College in 1960.

They were married on August 25, 1962 in Los Banos at the Methodist Church. They soon had their daughter, Klytia Gage Burcham and then a year later their son, Kevin Gage. Linda returned to school and became a teacher in 1975 and spent most of her career teaching kindergarten & first grade in Dos Palos, CA.

She had a passion for teaching and it came though in her children who have both became teachers. Linda also helped her husband, Larry, with his business by doing the bookkeeping and played a large roll in starting their farming business that led to a pistachio farm on the San Joaquin River near Firebaugh. Later in life she became a reading specialist to assist in early intervention in her community.

Linda was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and teacher. Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband Larry, her parents, Dan & Anita Bartel. Her sister, Nancy Bartel Pantajja and her husband Howard Pantajja.

Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Klytia and her husband Steve, Kevin and his wife Andrea, her sister, Karen Helmbold and two grandchildren, Brandi & Paul Burcham. She has left her family and community a legacy of kindness, hospitality, and love.
