Linda “Nancy” Lee Boyd, 80, of Oskaloosa died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the MHP Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. She was born September 10, 1938, in Prophetstown, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Madge Nicely Lindberg. She grew up and attended school in Illinois.

On July 9, 1960, she married James Eugene Boyd in Monmouth, Illinois. Together they shared over 58 years of marriage. They were blessed with five children; Kenny, Bill, Brenda, Karen, and David.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of the ones she loved. She enjoyed watching television, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Linda is survived by her husband James Boyd, of Oskaloosa, five children, Kenny (Melba) Boyd of Winnfield, Louisiana, Bill (Karen) Boyd of Kellogg, Brenda Jordan of Oskaloosa, Karen (Steve) Heartley of Centerville, and David Boyd of Oskaloosa; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine (David) Lyon of Davenport, Greta (Orville) Rittmiller of Fridley, Minnesota; a brother, Monte (Sue) Lindberg of Prophetstown, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marlene Lindberg; and a nephew: Tab Swanson. As was Linda’s wish, her body has been cremated. No visitation is planned.
