Obituary for Linda Marie Newman Linda Marie Newman, 71, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2019. Linda was born in Rochester, New York on January 10, 1947. She spent many years in Knoxville, Tennessee where she developed a deep love for the Tennessee Volunteers football team.

Linda moved to Port St. Lucie 16 years ago. Prior to retirement, she worked in management for the housing authority. In addition to her love of Volunteers football, Linda liked to watch her soap operas, however, her greatest passion and joy was her family, especially her daughter (Papoose), grandson (Jelly Bean), and great grandson (Snicker Doodle).

Linda was the devoted and beloved mother of Tammy McCarty; loving grandmother of Josh Lear and his wife Shelby; adoring great grandmother of Aiden; dear sister of Barbara Ciupik and her husband Jay, and Mary Ferguson and her husband Bill; and cherished aunt of Chris and Jeff Ciupik, and Ryan Ferguson.
