Her friends on the USM Dixie Darling Dancing squad affectionately called her “Socks”. Later “Miss” Dubay became the queen of Bainbridge High School Prom. She taught business by day and dreamt of prom themes by night.

Dubay always had a system and order filled with plenty of fun. She enjoyed getting to know her students, encouraging them to find their passions and then reveling in their adult years. Kind, caring and certainly witty, she loved everyone and saw the best in people.

“Miss” Dubay was an icon for generations of students at Bainbridge High School and spent her final hours cheering for her beloved Bearcats during their State Championship win. Survivors include her son, John Dubay of Bainbridge; her brother, Ike Martin and his wife, Carla, of Philadelphia, MS; and a host of friends and extended family. In addition to her parents, “Miss” Dubay was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert “Bob” Dubay.
