Survivors include one daughter Cassie Petty of Stephenville, one grandson Daniel Petty of Stephenville, one sister Sandra Bauman of Terrell, Texas, and one sister-in-law Charlyne Sledge of Terrell, Texas. He was preceded in death by one son Robert Lee Sledge, his parents Bobbye Thurman & Olan Thurman, Sterling Sledge and his brothers Roe Wayne Sledge & Truman Sledge.
