Lisa Marie (Deneen) Arne, age 60 of Sturgeon Lake, MN and Panama City Beach, FL, and formerly of Cannon Falls, died at her home in Sturgeon Lake on Thursday, November 22, 2018. Lisa was born on August 20, 1958 in Northfield, MN, the daughter of Thomas and Barbara (Burch) Deneen. She was a 1976 graduate of Faribault Senior High School.

She graduated summa cum laude in 2005 from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Lisa married Gary D. Arne on July 27, 1981 in Owatonna. After moving to Cannon Falls, she was employed as executive secretary to the superintendent at the Cannon Falls School District from 1986 – 2001.

Currently, she was employed with Frederick Sales since 2006. Lisa was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gary; daughters, Jennifer of Warsaw and Allison (Matt) Thompson of Woodbury; grandchildren, David Lamp and Lauren Lamp, both of Warsaw; father, Thomas Deneen of Faribault; mother, Barbara (Jim) Lehman of Fort Collins, CO; sisters and brother, Gail (Gene) Burke of Faribault, Lindy (Shawn) Murphy of Sturgeon Lake, and Daniel (Barb) Deneen of Faribault; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James Arne of Oregon, Juel Arne of Kansas, Patricia (John) Gergen of Dennison, Carol Aldorfer of Faribault, Peggy (Steve) Schoenbauer of Northfield, Sandy (Tom) Komis of Faribault, and Teresa Arne of Faribault; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Evelyn Burch and Catherine Deneen. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 5-7 p.m. at Lundberg Funeral Home in Cannon Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m., with visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 410 W. Colvill St., Cannon Falls. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m., Assembly Area #5.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice. Active pallbearers will be Shawn and Shane Murphy, Gene Burke, John Gergen, Tom Komis, and Dylan Deneen.
