Lloyd Fletcher Carter, age 80, of Stafford, VA died on January 17, 2019 at the Hospice of Virginia, Richmond. Born on December 18, 1938 to the late Walter Jackson and Ida Lee (Fletcher) Carter in Ada, VA. Lloyd worked on a dairy farm for 27 years before working for the City of Fairfax as a Highway Maintenance worker for 10 years.

He loved Bluegrass music, playing horseshoes and cards and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Lloyd was the beloved long time companion of the late Bell Roles, loving and devoted father of Steven Lee Carter of Trenton, OH and Thomas Woodrow Carter and his wife Jody of Stephens City, VA, proud grandfather of Melissa M. and Justin L. Carter, brother of Lellie A. Williams of Stafford, VA, and the late George Clifton Carter, Billy Lewis Carter, Edward Jackson Carter, Virginia E. Carter, Loleta L. Carter, Catherine J. Hathaway, Nannie Bell Carter, Alice Irene Carter, Myrtle F. Carter and Rosella Carter. , also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24th from 6pm to 8pm at Royston Funeral Home, 4125 Rectortown Road, Marshall, VA, where funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25th at 11am.
