Lois A. Maas, age 83 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 9, 2019 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. Lois was born on November 17, 1935 in Split Rock, WI as the daughter of the late Louis and Sophia (Beyersdorf) Redmann. She grew up in Split Rock and graduated from Marion High School in 1953.

On August 14, 1954 Lois was united in marriage to Carl Maas at the Zion Lutheran Church in Caroline. The couple farmed the Maas family farm in the Town of Grant, Shawano County prior to moving to Clintonville in 1973. Lois dedicated her entire working career to the nursing field.

She began working as a Nurses Aid for Greentree Health and Rehabilitation in Clintonville during the 1960s. Lois then went to Fox Valley Technical College to earn a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse graduating in 1969. She then went to work for the Clintonville Hospital until its closing and then worked for the Behling Home in Clintonville.

At the tail end of her career she became a Home Care Nurse for Helen Kempf until her passing in 2007. As a proud nurse, Lois kept her license current until just recently at the end of April, 2019. She was a member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she served on the Miriam Martha Circle with the CLCW.

Lois was quick witted, generous, kind, and had a very strong faith in her Lord and Savior. Survivors include: Her Sons: Kevin Maas and Todd (Jodi) Maas. Grandchildren: Daniel Matson, Louis (Julie) Maas, Megan Maas, Mark (Samantha) Maas, Keith (Fiance; Elizabeth Walker) Maas, Molly & Riley Maas, and Courtney, Taylor, & Erin Buch.

Great-Grandchildren: Keira & Kendal Tech, Kinsley Maas, Caden & Braxton Maas, Colton & Pierson Moi, Evelyn Maas, and Abram Elandt. Sisters: Ila (Leonard) Grunewald, Ruby Pastovic, and Roma (Wilson) Milligan. Also numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and many friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents, husband Carl in 2009, 2 daughters-in-law; Laurie & Karen Maas; sisters; Ruth (Arthur) Hille, Ellen (Gus) Keyser, Betty (Walter) Grunewald, and Aretta (Richard) Strong. Lois’ funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11 AM at the Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating.

Interment will follow at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Caroline. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by her family.
