Lois “Memommy” Bauermeister, 96, of Possum Trot died on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital. Mrs. Bauermeister was a painter and poet. She was a member of the Metropolis Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Surviving are three children, Gary Lynn Bauermeister of Oklahoma City, OK, Terry Joe Bauermeister of Calvert City, Ronna Lou Barker of Chattanooga, TN; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ronald Bauermeister; two brothers; and two sisters. Her parents were Charles Ashley and Grace Leonard Ashley-Homan.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Ferguson officiating. Friends may visit the family from 5:30pm to service hour on Thursday at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be at 11:00am on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Fook’s Cemetery in Possum Trot. Lindsey Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
