Obituary for Lois Evalena Blackwelder (Davenport) Print Lois Blackwelder, age 81, of Lenoir, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Grandview Villa Assisted Living. She was born December 9, 1937, in Caldwell County. She was the daughter of the late Ransom S. and Mae Vergie Heffner Davenport.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Howard Blackwelder; two brothers, Ward Davenport and Floyd Davenport; one sister Beatrice Davenport. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Shirley Smith (Charles) of Granite Falls; one grandson, Jerry Smith of Asheboro; one granddaughter, Heather Dula (Greyson) of Granite Falls; one brother, Dale Davenport; two sisters, Violet Cannon of Lenoir and Roxie Stamper of Virginia. The family will receive friends at Mackie Funeral Home on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Hamby officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
