Sweet Lola Knight Jenkins born November 13, 1920 left her earthly existence on May 6, 2019 at the grand age of 98 years old. She was married to Virgil Jenkins October 8, 1938 that was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Longtime resident of Magna.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sister Ila Jane Staley and Granddaughters Debra Davis and DaNeal Grover. Still loved here by her daughter Marsha Allen, Grandchildren Delynn (Jennifer) Lewis, Daryl (Rodney) Williams. 12 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren.

Sister Robin Thomas. Also, many devoted nieces and nephews. She had the desire to move back to Magna for that is where her heart was.

Even with that Magna water she made the best pancakes in town. She loved everyone unconditionally and couldn’t get enough of little children. She would always nibble on their ears and it was a little game between them and her.

She was always game for company and fun. She worked at many places in her younger years. She loved to be a phone operator, receptionist, accountant, and a teacher’s aide for elementary schools.

In her later years she was a Senior Companion for the county caring for the elderly. We were all grateful for the opportunity to serve her, love her, and her spit-fire personality to the end. We are grateful she was able to go home to her Eternal Companion.

She was always his “Cookie”. We are grateful to the staff at FlexCare of Taylorsville, Rosewood in South Salt Lake, and the Beehive of West Jordan. They loved her through her final days.

A viewing will be held May 9, 2019 from 11:00am to 12:00pm and a Funeral Service from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Serenity Funeral Home located at 12278 Lone Peak Parkway, Draper, UT 84020. Interment will be at the Elysian burial Gardens located at 1075 East 4580 South in Millcreek, UT 84117at 2:00pm.
