OBITUARY Lonnie Everett Liggens September 20, 1946 – July 12, 2018 In the year 1946, September 20th to be exact, God was working on a master plan. A baby boy named Lonnie Everett, would start a battle and soon become a man. The son of Buddy and Mozell, always living life to the fullest and working hard.

Going through all of life’s motions, yet looking for his reward. Talking stern and being straight forward, he wouldn’t hesitate to give it to you straight. But still in the eyes of his kids and baby sister Nadine, brothers Rickey and Tony he was oh so great.

Not always doing things right and making some mistakes along the way. But oh the opportunity for change was made in his life before that great day. He always had a smile whenever he was fishing or shooting pool.

He loved to dress sharp as a tac and just simply being cool. But to daddy’s girls Bridgett and Lisa, son Brice who stands proud and tall. And Melissa, who he helped raise, he was still a hero to us all.

So on this day, as we celebrate our father and grandfather’s life. We’re thankful to God that in the end, Lonnie’s choice was right. He gave God his life through Christ, so he can now hear the sweet angels sing.

As our Heavenly Father has said, “Well done my son, you have earned your wings. He fought a good fight his battle is now complete. Even with tears in our eyes, we can say thank you Lord, Lonnie Everett Liggens is now at peace.
