Lonnie Gayle Hardin, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, in Lexington, KY at the VA Hospital at the cancer center. He was born on January 17, 1948 in Shelbyville, KY and was the son of the late Pete Alvin and Alice Roberts Hardin. A Franklin County Native, he resided at 212 Lynnwood Dr., Frankfort, KY.

He was a retired forklift operator at Toby’s in Frankfort, Ky. He also worked for International Paper Company and Logan Uniforms. He was a veteran of the US Army, Serving from February… Read More » 13, 1967 until November 25 1969, spending a year in Vietnam.

Also a member of Grafenburg Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughters Amanda Gayle Hardin, Frankfort; Paula Jones Whiddon, Shelbyville; his sister Linda Hardin Lewis, Frankfort; and his grandchildren Lee Clements; Garrett Whiddon; Jarrett Whiddon; and Ally Hardin. A celebration of life will be held from 3:00pm until 5:00pm Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.

Rev. David Smith will officiate. Military Honors will be rendered after the service.
