Lonnie Ray Crosby of Seminary, Mississippi December 1, 1932 – March 7, 2019 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church for Lonnie Ray Crosby, 86 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his residence. Brother Joe Lott and Brother Wayne Woolwine will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Crosby Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Stacy Haden, Brandy Haden, and Kylie Haden.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Trent Haden, Drew Crosby, Jack Crosby, Chris Crosby, Joe Breland, T.J. Bullock, Ben Young, M.J. Smith, Phillip Fisk, Dawson Mullins, Orren Breland, Dalton Bourgoyne, and Blaze Bourgoyne.

Mr. Crosby was born on December 1, 1932 in Seminary, Mississippi. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Crosby was a self- employed businessman that was involved in numerous ventures throughout his working career such as building mausoleums, cattle farming, the gravel and lumber business, and operating Lonnie’s Canoe Rentals just to name a few.

He was a member of the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Ruth Bagsby Crosby; his wife, Jacqueline Ingram Crosby; and two brothers, Melvin Virgil Crosby, Jr. and Cecil Crosby. Survivors include one daughter, Debra Crosby Campbell, and her husband, David of Seminary; four sons, Lonnie Ray Crosby, Jr., and his wife, Betty of Sumrall, Melvin Bura Crosby, and his wife, Jennifer of Seminary, Jackson Cecil Crosby, and his wife, Mary Beth of Collins, and John Daniel Crosby, and his wife, Vickie of Seminary; one sister, Elizabeth Russin of Magee; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; eleven great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
