PORT LEYDEN -Loren Eric Richardson, 66, of Burlington, NC, formerly of Port Leyden, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at his home after a ten month battle with cancer. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Evan Zehr, officiating. A luncheon at 3G Fire Hall in Glenfield will immediately follow the funeral service.

Spring burial will be in Martinsburg Cemetery. Calling hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Friends of Lewis County Hospice, P.O. Box 266, Lowville, NY 13367.

Loren is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Debra; his son, Travis Richardson of Sarasota, FL; a step-son, Robert (Mary) Hulbert of Glenfield; six grandchildren, Victoria Richardson, Aidan Richardson, Catherine Richardson, Andrew Hulbert, Mason Moore, and Dublin Moore; a sister, Diane Richardson of Carthage; an aunt, Helen Louis of CT; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased two brothers, Larry Richardson and Robert Richardson. Loren was born on March 13, 1952 in West Carthage, NY, a son of the late Eric Lee and Pauline Anna Louis Richardson.

He graduated from Carthage High School and lived and worked in Florida for 10 years. On May 5, 1990 he married Debra Ann Cobb at the Lowville Baptist Church. Loren worked at Climax Manufacturing in Lowville from 1984-2005.

Together with his wife, they moved to North Carolina, where he worked at MeadWestvaco from 2005 to 2015, when he retired. Loren enjoyed golfing, movies, reading and traveling. Condolences may be made online at www.
