LOWVILLE- Betty J. Robar, 82, formerly of Dayan Street, Lowville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility, where she has resided since February 6, 2017. Calling hours will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Iseneker Funeral Home, Inc., 5702 Waters Road, Lowville, followed by a closing prayer at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will be at the convenience of the family in Stark Cemetery, South Colton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald Robar Sr.; five children and their spouses, Rickey Morgan of Norfolk, Lori and Timothy Zehr Sr. of Carthage, Diana and Dwayne Rhone of Lowville, Donald Jr. and Lisa Robar of Schenectady, Amber and Jason Kilmer of Lexington, NC; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Donald Seiler of Lake Helen, FL; a sister-in-law, Donna Lanning of Waddington; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved lap dog, Abby. She is predeceased by her mother and step-father, Mary Louise and William Lanning; her father, Clifford Morgan; a sister, Helen Smith; two brothers, William and Douglas Lanning; and an uncle, Harold Peacock, whom she thought of as a brother. Betty was born on August 23, 1936 in Norfolk, NY, a daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Louise Peacock Morgan and attended country school in Madrid and Madrid High School.

She did domestic work in the Madrid area before her marriage. On September 24, 1966, she married Donald G. Robar at the First Congregational Church of Madrid. She raised her family, moving to Lowville in 1983.

She then did house cleaning for area families in Lowville. In 1984, together with her husband, they became Foster Parents and Registered Day Care Providers to many children in their home throughout Lewis County until 2005. Betty enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening, cleaning and going to the casino.

Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Condolences may be shared with the family at www. isenekerfuneralhome.com.
