Lorinda Clare McCulley August 22, 1951 – January 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lorinda (Lorie) Clare McCulley of Salmon passed away January 21 at Steele Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family following a short illness. Lorie was born in Seattle Washington April 22, 1951. As a child she was what she called a air-force brat and lived all over the world until her family finally settled in Redding,CA .

She attended high school in Redding and Graduated from Shasta College in 1972. At Shasta College Lorie met the love of her life Jack McCulley and after a 6 day courtship they were married in Reno Nevada in 1972. After her graduation Jack re-entered the US Army and the travel started again living in several states and in Germany where their youngest child Jake was born.

Upon leaving the Army Jack and Lorie settled in Jacks home town of Burney CA, Lorie was a teachers assistant for the local schools while Jack worked in the lumber industry, they lived in Burney until 2008 when they moved to Salmon Idaho. In Salmon Lorie worked as a home health aide and was employed by Aspen Home Health where she was involved in the rehabilitation of several patients Lorie was very active in the local community being involved with the Eagle Aerie and as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Lorie is survived by her husband Jack and son Jake of Salmon, her daughter Marie Yang of California, her sisters Susan Rice of Washington, Mary Stradford of Oregon and Brother Ronald Rice of Arizona, she is also survived by her parents Don and Patricia Carlile of Redding Ca. Lorie was predeceased by her daughter Lucinda McCulley in 2017 Memorial Services for Lorie were held January 26 at the LOS Church with Jones and Casey handling the arrangements, Burial will be in the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo,California.
