Lorraine E. Manieri, loving partner, mother, and grandmother, died on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at York Hospital. She was 61 years old. Lorraine was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on March 1, 1957.

She graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1976. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in York, PA and St. Phillip & St. James Church in Phillipsburg, NJ. She was also a member and huge supporter of the Spina Bifida Association.

Her family remembers her for her love for Disney and lighthouses, and her participation in Bible Study and cross stitch. Above all, her favorite hobby was being a grandmother. She is survived by her life partner, Gilbert S. Blum, sharing 20 years together.

In addition, Lorraine is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Pors and Scott Pors; her daughter, Heather Valle-Arcilla and her husband, Ian; two step daughters, Laura Blum and Chelsea LeBlanc; her step son, Alexander Blum; and her three grandchildren, Olivia Pors, Isabella Valle-Arcilla, and Liam Valle-Arcilla. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kaylani Pors. Following cremation, there will be a visitation on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 397 Tyler Run Road, York, PA.

A memorial service in Lorraine’s honor will follow the visitation with the Rev. Richard D. Smith officiating. Immediately following the service, friends and family are welcome to a luncheon where they may share stories and memories of Lorraine and her family.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Lorraine will also be remembered during services on Sunday February 10, 2019 at St Phillip & St. James Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Spina Bifida Association, 1600 Wilson Blvd.
