On May 15, 2019, Lorraine Evangeline Lloyd of Evanston went to be with the Lord at the age of 90. She dearly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all. Lorraine was born to Waldemar and Evangeline Olsen in 1929.

She married Eldon Lloyd April 22, 1960 and together they raised four wonderful sons. She spent her later years caring for her dear husband until he went to be with the Lord in 2018. She was a longtime member of the Evanston Union Presbyterian Church.

For many years, Lorraine enjoyed working at the Uinta County Courthouse as Deputy Assessor where she made many friends and enjoyed working with people. Lorraine loved being a member of the Esther #9 Eastern Star. She was initiated in June of 1947, making her a 72 year member of the organization.

She had the honor of serving as Worthy Matron from 1963-1964, 1986-1987 and 1996-1997. She served as the Grand Representative to the New Brunswick Canada in 1988 and also Grand Representative to Mississippi in 2005. She was the Esther #9 Eastern Star Chapter secretary for 18 years.

Lorraine spent many hours painting Eldon’s wood crafts that they gave as gifts. She enjoyed traveling about North America and to Denmark. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her joy and she loved them very much.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her father, Waldemar and her mother, Evangeline; her husband Eldon and son Michael. She is survived by her loving sister Joyce (Doug) Taylor of Ogden, UT; her 3 sons Steve (Julie) Cates of Evanston from her first husband Ted, Allen (Cindy) of Strafford, MO and Charles (Donnell) of Evanston, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Esther #9 Eastern Star at P.O. Box 645, Evanston, WY 82930.
